Brian Furmanski, PhD

Brian Furmanski, PhD, is Chief Development Officer at Kriya. Brian joined Kriya from Nuventra Pharma Sciences, where he served as Senior Director of Clinical Phar­ma­col­o­gy and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to Nuventra, he was a Senior Clinical Phar­ma­col­o­gy Reviewer at the FDA, where he provided regulatory and scientific advice on drug development programs across multiple therapeutic modalities. Before joining the FDA, Brian was an inves­ti­ga­tor in the muscle metabolism and repair group at Glax­o­SmithK­line. He began his career at Siga Tech­nolo­gies, where he contributed to the development of novel antiviral therapies. Brian holds a PhD in bio­chem­istry from the University of South Carolina and completed his post­doc­tor­al fellowship in clinical phar­ma­col­o­gy at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He also holds under­grad­u­ate degrees in chemistry and biology, both from the University of South Carolina.
